Pearson offers an Infrastructure Support Service (ISS), which provides PowerSchool customers with the following: Offsite data storage and retention, technical management of PowerSchool, and the maintenance and support of your hardware. Infrastructure Support Service ensures optimal performance of your PowerSchool environment.

We will proactively work with you to keep your PowerSchool application and 3rd party software up to date and your hardware environment running smoothly. If infrastructure issues should occur, our staff will work swiftly to diagnose and resolve the issue and restore normal operation to your PowerSchool environment as quickly as possible.

When you purchase the Infrastructure Support Service you'll receive:

• Hardware evaluation and support - Pearson will conduct a detailed review of your architecture to ensure that your infrastructure is compliant with our minimum system requirements, and optimized for performance. If you encounter an issue with your servers, load balancers, data storage architecture, VMware, SSL, or third-party software, Pearson staff will take appropriate action to ensure minimal disruption to your use of the application.
• Quarterly updates, product patches, environment evaluations and database checkups - Each quarter, Pearson will perform PowerSchool and 3rd party software updates, conduct performance evaluations of your environment, and execute check-ups to assess the health of your Oracle® database. Our staff will work with you to establish a schedule for performing these evaluations, updates and technical procedures.
• Safe and secure data collection and storage - Safe and secure data collection and storage - Pearson has partnered with data storage giant Decho™ to provide a comprehensive and highly secure disaster recovery solution. On a nightly basis, your data will be automatically collected and compressed using 128-bit SSL encryption, transmitted using 448-bit blowfish or 256-bit military grade encryption and stored using 128-bit SSL encryption. The data is password-protected by Pearson and stored on three servers that are housed in multiple, temperature-controlled, fire proof and seismic-resistant facilities. Each data backup is stored for up to 30 days protecting you against undiscovered errors or loss of data.
• Data restoration and migration - Pearson will restore or migrate your data up to four times per year or on a planned quarterly basis. Whether it is hardware failure, human error, or the need to refresh a non-production instance, we can restore or migrate your data fast and effectively.

Long Term Hosting Option

Additionally, Pearson can host your environment for an indefinite amount of time, based on your circumstances and needs. We can migrate your PowerSchool environment and have your existing data set available within one business day or less.
