PowerSchool SMS 8.0, formerly known as Chancery SMS, represents a big step forward in the evolution of the SIS. Rest assured, this is the same product you have come to rely on for all your student data management needs. With a fresh new look, this release provides end users with several workflow and usability enhancements throughout the application. Using the latest web design standards, your overall user experience will be dramatically improved. Key enhancements include:

Registration and Enrollment
You've asked, we've responded. We have made several back-end improvements for the storage of student enrollment records, which make reporting easier and more efficient.
Contacts
In addition to new features and enhancements provided in the area of Contacts, there are several under-the-hood improvements that make it easier to keep student contact data up-to-date.
My Reports
My Reports is a new feature that enables users to specify their top 20 'favorite' reports so they can have quick access to them from anywhere in the application.
Student Record
The student record view has been refreshed and updated for easier navigation. Grids now have buttons directly above them to access common functions. The user is also able to expand/collapse the left navigation menu to better control their screen's real estate for displaying student data.
Switch User Role
Switching user roles is much easier and accessible from anywhere in the application. Each user can designate up to 20 roles, which will be displayed in the quick access menu. A link in the menu gives access to all of the roles a user has permission to access.
