Smartphone Access for Administrators and Teachers

Address Management & Boundary Validation
With PowerSchool, addresses are validated against the Google® Maps service to ensure address level accuracy, and that all students live within school and district boundaries.
Prerequisite Checking & Teacher Recommendations
Prerequisites & Teacher Recommendations provides the ability to define and enforce prerequisite rules that automatically limit the courses a student may request. With a multitude of options - such as percent grade, letter grade, credit hours, concurrent request, and teacher recommendation - customers can build as comprehensive a rule as necessary for each course in order to help students request only those courses for which they are academically prepared to be successful.

Translation Toolkit
To support our growing international presence, PowerSchool includes a toolkit that makes it easy to translate the entire system into any language, including the gradebook, parent access, the reporting builder and online help. To support this, PowerSchool now uses Unicode, allowing you to enter student names with non-English characters. The translation toolkit also makes it possible to repurpose existing fields in PowerSchool by renaming the labels to suit your school or district's unique needs.
Push-button State Reporting
As the system of record for your district, one of PowerSchool's primary responsibilities is producing accurate and timely state and provincial reports. Pearson is staffed with the industry's leading experts on the requirements of your state or province, and we work to stay abreast of the latest developments and changes to reporting requirements. State reports in PowerSchool are updated independent of product updates. This allows us to push out the most recent reports to your PowerSchool server without having to wait for a major product launch. All reports are coupled with extensive documentation. Running reports in PowerSchool is as simple as entering your reporting parameters and clicking a submit button.
